When arriving in the Whiteman Air Force Base area, the nearest major airport is the Charles B. Wheeler Airport, in Kansas City, which is located about 55 miles from the base. Another major airport is the Kansas CIty International Airport, about 94 miles from base. Taxi service is available from the airport.

If arriving by car, Whiteman Air Force Base is located near Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 50. If arriving from the west on I-70, take the Warrensburg exit onto State Highway 13 south. Turn east onto Highway 50 and drive to State Highway 23 south. The main Spirit gate will be on your left.
